[album:57,4:c]Rip Curl’s grom even at the Kitty Hawk fishing pier (what’s left of it). Kids from all over the east coast were on hand to compete.
[album:58,4:c]Day 2 in Avon. Thanks to the internet and Cell phones, this had to be the most crowded location on the entire East Coast. Surf was still epic and photogs were everywhere.
[album:59,4:c]This was one of, if not the, best days ever to shoot. After spending the morning bodyboarding big close-outs in Salvo and Rodanthe, I decided to head to Avon and catch up with Drew Scalia, Mark Newton and the rest of the local crew. After sitting in traffic for about an hour, I walked over the dune to see epic conditions. Shot until it got too dark. Riders include Mark Newton, Jason Andre, Lucas Rogers, Raven Lundy and just about everybody else on the east coast.
[album:62,4:c] Met up with David Barnes from Seasoned Surfboards for a late afternoon session on the south side of the inlet.
