The contest is over, I was there pretty much the entire time and I have no idea who won what. I do know that Friday’s weather Sucked. It was Cold, Windy, Rainy, Drifty, Windy and Cold. I did manage a few shots during the day then headed off to Tortugas for the ‘BEST DAMN BURGER IN THE WORLD’… Click on the image below to view the photos from the from the 18th.
MAY 18TH ESA MID-ATLANTIC REGIONALS

Saturday the 19th had much nicer weather and somewhat offshore winds for most of the day, though they kept switching around. Surf was still in the Head+ range breaking way outside. Couldn’t really see anything for the first couple of hours due to the sun and how far out the break was, so look at all the faces in the crowd shots from the early morning, then whatever surfing shots I grabbed during the remaineder of the day. MAY 19TH ESA MID-ATLANTIC REGIONALS

Around 5pm when the Contest was done for the day, I had decided to head to Hatteras, since we’d heard nothing but how good it was all day (Keep an eye on SURFKDH.COM for Micky’s photos). Noah Snyder told me about a place in town that he was going to, since he was judging all day and missed the Hatteras surf, so I headed there instead. Noah showed up, then Chris McDonald, Barry Price Jr and Ronnie Brooks joined in, with a couple of unnamed locals. All charging the shorebreak….Click on the Image below to view the Gallery from the evening of May 19th….
MAY 19TH KDH

…and finally May 20th 2007 the Final day of the ESA MID-ATLANTIC REGIONALS. The surf all but dissappeared overnight, but they still managed some decent sets and some good competition all the way up to the Tag-team challenge. I’ll post either a link to the results or the results if I get them.
