2011 ECSC – News

First off there will be a Memorial Paddle out for the  local Virginia Beach Seal Team that lost their lives in Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago. This will be taking place on Sunday August 28th at 1:00pm. Contact me on Facebook for more info.

August 13th 2011 – Life Rolls On – They Will Surf Again

Here they are, nearly 1400 shots from Saturday’s event.  I was shooting with two different cameras so the gallery is not completely in order. All of the shots I took in the water are first in their order, followed by the shots from land in their order.   Also the huge group shot at the beginning is a combination of 5 or 6 individual shots stitched together, all of the individual shots are included in the gallery.

Participants feel free to download the images and/or use the facebook/twitter buttons below the larger image to share or like your photos. I tried to make sure I covered all the surfers…I apologize if I missed anyone.

Status update: 2011 Virginia Longboard Federation’s “Steel Pier Classic”

May 15th 2011 – Play A Round For The Playground – Red Wing Golf Course

Kary Ann Nixon put together a fund raiser, for the Accessible Playground at Pembroke Elementary, on Sunday May 15th 2011. I spent a few hours riding around trying to get some photos of all the great people who helped raise money for this event. March 5th 2011 – 1st time shooting Lacrosse

First Colonial H.S. Senior Aryn Kormanis put together a Lacrosse game to raise money for Kary Ann’s playground project at Pembroke Elementary School, and I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot the game. 1st time I’ve ever shot Lacrosse….it’s like land hockey!

… even though I still have thousands of photos from California, September 3rd afternoon shots from the Earl swell  and a friends wedding to edit, I’m still stupid enough to show up at 1st street and shoot.  Fortunately I’ve been shooting in the afternoon where the decent light affords me the opportunity to simply upload the photos without editting. And in the spirit of just getting everything caught up I have uploaded the last two days worth of shots without even looking at them.  I have also realized I never posted a link to the photos from August 7th.
