August 13th Nags Head

Just posted a bunch of shots from yesterday August 13th in Nags Head. The surf could have been better but the weather couldn’t have, it was a gorgeous day to be on the beach.  Shots are from anywhere between 10am and about 6pm. I’m sure I don’t need to guess which shots will have the most views from this gallery….. Click on the image below to see the entire Gallery.

 

 

August 12th Kitty Hawk – Rip Curl Grom Search

I have a whole bunch of shots from today’s contest. I was too hungry to stick around for the awards so I’m not sure who won, but I do know the kids were charging that semi-shorepound. I’m looking forward to shooting a session or two tomorrow so look for me on the beach.

17th Street’s “University of Surf” July 27th.

Hooked up with Chris Todd this morning at Camp Pendelton and took some shots of the 17th Street’s “University of Surf” school. 

For anyone who’s interested here’s a link to the University of Surf Schedule for the remainder of the summer. I’m going to try and make it out there at least one day for each session.

July 9th Outer Banks

Caught up with Creighton Barnes, Ben from Abstract Video/Design and Ryan from SurfKDH.COM, Jay Hawekotte, John Barnes and a bunch of others for an early Morning backlit session in Nags Head. I did run down to S-turns and Rodanthe Pier but returned to town because it looked better there.

International Surfing Day

Today is International Surfing day,Get out there and catch a wave, paddle around, pick up some trash on the beach.

I made a pretty lame attempt to capture some dawn patrol shots at 1st street, there’s a very small Gallery if you click on the image above.

 No more photos today. But I’ll be in the Outer Banks Friday thru Sunday!

JUNE 18, 2006 THE ZEKE CONTEST

Sebastian Moreno wins the Semi-Pro taking home the big $1k.  There was a great turn out for this event, it was very well organized and everyone had a great time.

[album:83,4:c] First day of the Have a Heart contest put on by OBXSURFINFO.COM in Nags Head. Check out their website for the details about this contest and feel free to contribute to the cause.

Surf wasn’t the greatest it’s ever been, but at least there were waves and everyone was having a great time.

May 16th 1st Street Va Beach – New Lens

[album:82,6:c]Sold the 500mm and bought a used 400mm f2.8. I was testing it out with a 2x converter. These images are the results of my first attempt with this combo. 

May 6, 2006 O’Neill Braggers Cup – Nags Head

[album:81,6:c:s=0]WRV Va Beach waited their entire final heat for a last minute set that had them win by half a point over 17th St Va Beach.

April 23, 2006 Hatteras and 1st St KDH

[album:80,6:c:s=0]Spent some down in Rodanthe with Ryan Kingsbury, Christ Todd, Todd Pace, Jason Borte , Steve Owens and friends. Afterwards, I headed up to 1st street in KDH and met up with Ryan Rhodes and shot a few photos.
