Shots from Day 1 of the 2008 STEEL PIER CLASSIC – Yeah I overexposed most of them, I can fix them if anybody needs prints etc.
I also need a shot of Bill ‘Cookie’ Cooke getting Hula Lessons, if anybody has one please email me, I want to post it right here…I’ll trade an 8×10 print for it!

Took few shots of everyone working on site prep for the contest on Friday night, as well as a few surfing photos with shots of Philip Goold, Michael Dunphy, Tony Silvagni and Westin Williams…among others.

I still don’t have the long lens to replace the one I broke…so I decided to go with the 200 and shoot from the Jetty…now I need to sell some photos to pay for that ticket!
I’ll have more shots from the mid-afternoon but the break kind of far out for the 200mm so I’ll have to edit most of them.

At least I got half a day’s worth of shots before the accident…Good news is the Camera appears to be in perfect condition!
Got off about 331 photos before it all went south on me….All of these shots were taken in Raw format so most of the blown Highlights can be recovered. I wanted to get them all up so I didn’t edit them individually.

Hung out with Mickey ‘2M’ McCarthy on Friday. Did a session with Raven, Lucas, Brendan and a few others who started to show up…then after lunch headed a bit north to shoot some of the Local guys including, Noah, Jessie Hines and Chris McDonald.
For the most part it was breaking pretty far out and I couldn’t get the camera or my eyes to stay in focus…might need glasses!

Feb 18th, Presidents Day….I was off work today for the Holiday and sometime around 11am I was checking the site out and noticed the Surfline links on the left said it was 4-5ft and fair in VB, So I drove down there and pretty much shot the entire day.
Please note…many of these shots appear over exposed, not to worry, they are all fine, I just didn’t have time to convert all the images and get them ready to upload so I batched everything without adjusting. I’ll fix anything when/if it is ordered, I’m also working with a new camera so I have much more flexibility when it comes to cropping.
