So I was feeling a little under the weather today and decided to spend the day on the beach in Rodanthe shooting the 1st annual WRV Battle of the Banks, or was it the Rodanthe Pipe Masters?…dunno either way, after the sun got good the photos started to get a little better.  After the contest was over, I headed back into town and shot for a little bit in KDH while I had a little bit of sunlight to work with.

Jeremy Johnson won it all with Ben Bourgeois taking 2nd, Nils Schweizer 3rd and Justin Schub 4th.

Justin Schub destroyed the final heat of the day with a 9.25 highest wave of the contest so far. Shots from all of Day 2 heats are posted.Â

I Missed the first couple of heats, but was there for the rest of the day. Rounds 1 and 2 are complete. Round 3 starts tomorrow morning, they’re going to make the call at 10:00 am. Should be a good day of surfing with the talent that’s advanced on top of the guys who were seeded.Â
